The Opportunity

This position works out of our Lake Forest, IL location within the Infectious Disease Division. This position is on site daily.

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) to join our Market Access organization. This new position will work closely with Global and Regional Market Access, Marketing, Medical & Clinical Affairs, and Research & Development colleagues to help ensure patients gain appropriate access to company's life changing point of care, rapid diagnostics. This unique role will have the opportunity to work with colleagues across all geographies and across infectious disease states, such as Respiratory Diseases, Malaria, and HIV, that affect millions of people every day.

The Associate Director, Global HEOR, will be responsible for the development and execution of clinical & economic value evidence plans, aligning with the clinical and economic evidence requirements of key markets to gain appropriate reimbursement and funding from public and private payors.

This role will report to the Director, Global Market Access & HEOR who is also located in our Lake Forest, IL location.

What You’ll Work On

  • Conduct Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) projects to support the Clinical, Humanistic, and Economic Value of key stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-regional team members, such as Market Access, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Brand Marketing, Government Affairs, and others to drive HEOR strategy and deliverables
  • Responsible for health economic modeling, such as financial, budget impact and cost effectiveness models
  • Consider the access evidence requirements needed for key markets and drives the strategy and tactical execution for both the health economics and outcomes research for pipeline products
  • Participate in determining clinical and economic gaps and develops plan to help fulfill these gaps
  • Drive HEOR Publication strategy and works with KOLs on implementation of this strategy
  • Prioritize & stage development of HEOR toolset planning within investment constraints and annual planning
  • Deliver proactive, transparent, and effective communications cadence to ensure timely dissemination of information with market access leadership and matrix stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in public health, economics, epidemiology, health services research, pharmacy, medicine, or HEOR-related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical devices, diagnostics or point of care diagnostics fields with strong knowledge of healthcare industry.
  • 5+ years relevant experience in at least one of the following fields: Outcomes Research, Clinical Research, Epidemiology, Health Policy
  • Thorough understanding of global guidelines as they relate to HEOR and Medical Affairs, as well as expertise in global HTA/payer reimbursement and market access requirements.
  • Global experience working across cultures and understanding market requirements.
  • Leadership and intrapersonal skills to ensure that the vision is shared, understood and executed against by colleagues across the world in a complex matrix organization.
  • Ability to earn followership and be an active and collaborative thought partner both within team and across the company.
  • Results-oriented: demonstrates a sense of urgency for overcoming obstacles and achieving measurable results; resourceful and driven to drive projects and timelines.
  • Ability to travel globally up to 20% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diagnostics Industry Experience.
  • Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan. Free coverage applies in the next calendar year.

The base pay for this position is

$125,300.00 – $250,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
