What You’ll Do

The Associate Director of Growth sits at the center of how GALE competes and wins. This role is equal parts strategic thinker and execution engine, someone who can absorb complex business challenges, synthesize intelligence from across the agency, and help shape the narratives and strategies that define how GALE shows up in market. Working closely with the Director of Growth and senior leadership, the AD will lead live pitch processes end-to-end, bring a point of view to how we position our integrated capabilities, and find smarter, faster ways to do the work, including through active, fluent use of AI tools. If you're energized by high-stakes competition, love building something that wins, and want a front-row seat to how a top-tier agency goes to market, this role has real runway.

Who You Are
  • 10+ years of prior agency account management, strategy, or business development experience, ideally within a creative, media, digital, or integrated marketing agency
  • Able to engage substantively with capability questions in at least one or two of the following areas: media, creative, CRM, or loyalty, enough to pressure-test a narrative, spot gaps in a response, and eventually own a larger portion of the strategic story
  • Experienced in leading and presenting strategic recommendations both verbally and in writing, with excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Able to set direction and manage multiple workstreams, deliverables, and stakeholders across complex, fast-moving new business opportunities
  • Highly organized, attentive, and detail oriented, with the ability to bring structure to ambiguous opportunities and pitch processes
  • Actively using AI tools to accelerate research, deliverable development, and workflow, with enough fluency to build their own efficiencies without waiting to be shown how.
  • A proactive and technically curious problem solver with a flexible, collaborative style and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable partnering with cross-functional teams across strategy, creative, media, data, technology, production, and client leadership
  • Experienced in developing compelling narratives, credentials, case studies, and pitch materials that clearly communicate agency value. Excellent writing skills.
  • Commercially minded, with an understanding of scope development, prospecting strategy, market trends, and client growth opportunities
What You Will Be Doing
  • Help shape and maintain overall pitch approach, ensuring the work is insight-led, high quality, differentiated, and aligned to prospect needs
  • Partner with pitch leads across key functions to determine scope of work, team structure, and recommended approach for prospective clients
  • Manage live new business opportunities, including overall pitch process, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder coordination
  • Collaborate with media, strategy, data, and CRM teams to source market intelligence and audience insights that inform prospecting and pitch strategy
  • Build, sustain, and continuously improve the client and prospect database, keeping it updated in line with market movement and agency priorities
  • Develop and oversee outreach materials, including newsletters, prospecting communications, bespoke content, and targeted thought leadership
  • Maintain and enhance agency credentials, ensuring materials are current, compelling, and tailored for different audiences
  • Lead the development of relevant case studies that demonstrate GALE’s integrated capabilities and measurable business impact
  • Manage and contribute to RFI/RFP responses, including narrative development, content coordination, and final delivery
  • Develop quarterly reports for leadership on new business activity, pipeline health, market opportunities, and recommendations for growth
  • Identify opportunities to improve the business development process, pitch operations, and internal tools/templates to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness
