Job summary

Mourant is recruiting an Associate Director for its Fund Accounting team in New Jersey. You will lead day-to-day activities, coordinate across locations, and mentor junior staff while driving innovative financial reporting using PCS and Yardi.

The role requires ACCA/ACA or equivalent, strong US GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and a client-focused mindset to manage complex transactions with fund directors and auditors.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACCA/ACA or equivalent with up-to-date technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage the day-to-day activities of team members reporting to you, ensuring work is planned and allocated to meet client requirements and deadlines.
• Collaborate with colleagues across all accounting locations, providing explanations, advice and accounting support as required.
• Act as a role model to junior colleagues to assist in building, developing and motivating a high-performing accounting team.
• Drive innovation in the delivery of financial reporting services using your experience and the tools available within the business.
• Guide the team through complex transactions and consult with fund directors as required.
• Build and develop relationships with clients, auditors and third-party service providers.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure client expectations and deadlines are properly managed.
• Collaborate with client administration and other colleagues to resolve accounting queries, providing explanations and accounting support as required.
