Job summary

Mourant is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Fund Services team in Jersey. You will work closely with the Fund Accounting team to provide financial reporting services to a range of client entities.

This role offers exposure to diverse technical accounts across a broad client portfolio and a path to career growth. You will maintain accurate accounting records, prepare timely financial statements, and review monthly and quarterly reports.

Qualifications

• Must hold 'Entitled' or 'Registered' residential status in Jersey, Channel Islands.
• Qualified ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience with up to date technical accounting knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with accounting systems, particularly Yardi and Investran/PCS would be an advantage.
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel, with on the job coaching also provided.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• A positive and flexible approach.
• An aptitude for data analysis and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in client entity databases.
• Preparation and review of accurate and timely financial statements.
• Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and bi-annual reports.
• Preparation and review of periodic reports, capital account statements and net asset valuations.
• Liaise with line manager on accounting deadlines and client expectations.
• Collaborate with client administration and other colleagues providing explanations and accounting support as required.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, auditors and third party service providers.
• Be an exam and career mentor to fund accounting trainee(s).
• Ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures.
