Job summary

Fairfield University seeks an Associate Director of Financial Aid to lead strategic planning and daily operations, ensuring compliant, efficient, and student-centered financial aid delivery. You will oversee SAP, systems like Net Partner, and reporting while guiding a team in a Jesuit, mission-driven environment.

You will collaborate with the Executive Director on policy development, audits, and external compliance, and advise families on aid options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years in financial aid administration.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations.
• Experience with financial aid systems and data management.
• Experience managing and overseeing financial aid staff.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic planning and operational effectiveness with the Executive Director.
• Provide leadership for day-to-day operations, staff guidance, and process improvement.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures in line with regulations.
• Oversee SAP processes, ensuring accuracy and communication.
• Manage financial aid systems and implement enhancements.
• Support reporting requirements (FISAP) and data analysis.
• Prepare audit documents and liaise with auditors.
