Job summary

UBS is seeking an Associate Director, Engineer, Client Onboarding in Morrisville, NC. You will design and develop complex enterprise applications, contribute to cloud/datacenter migrations, and drive microservices architectures with DevOps practices.

You’ll work with RESTful services, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud platforms, primarily Azure, in an Agile environment. Hybrid in-office/remote work is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, or related field, plus ten years of experience in the job offered or related roles.
• Experience with Core Java, RESTful microservices, Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Boot), JSP, JDBC, Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex, enterprise-grade applications.
• Contribute to cloud and datacenter migration projects with architectural guidance.
• Collaborate across teams to implement target state architecture and maintain microservices.
• Build scalable systems using RESTful services, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud-native patterns.

• Design and develop complex, enterprise-grade applications.
• Contribute to cloud and datacenter migration projects, providing architectural guidance and solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, implement, and enhance products in line with the target state architecture. Develop and maintain microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Work with RESTful web services, Swagger, XML, SQL, and NoSQL databases to build scalable and efficient systems. Leverage public cloud platforms, with a preference for Microsoft Azure, to design and implement cloud-native solutions. Apply DevOps practices, including containerization (Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines, to streamline development and deployment processes. Utilize messaging middleware such as Kafka and MQ for real-time data processing and communication.
• Work in an Agile environment, contributing to iterative development and continuous improvement.
• Explore and integrate Azure services, including PaaS offerings, containers, serverless computing, iPaaS, and DevOps tools.
• Can work hybrid (In-office/remote).
