Job summary

UBS is seeking an Associate Director of Financial and Regulatory Reporting Specialist in Morrisville, NC, to lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for the IHC, including balance sheet and P&L and regulatory metrics. The role requires US GAAP expertise, capital and RWA knowledge, and strong automation skills.

You will coordinate with various control and finance teams, drive process improvements, and prepare regulatory submissions with accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field plus 8 years of experience in the job offered or 8 years in related roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages for the IHC board, including BS and P&L by segment and regulatory metrics.
• Ensure all journal entries are posted timely and perform controls to identify inaccuracies in consolidation.
• Support regulatory submissions (Y-9C, Y-11, Y-9LP, CCAR) to the Federal Reserve and prepare annual disclosures.
• Drive process efficiency through automation and coordinate close with Product Controllers, Operations, Treasury, IT and Tax.
• Work in a hybrid in-office/remote setup.

We’re looking for an Associate Director, Financial and Regulatory Reporting Specialist to:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages for the Seniors and the Board of Directors of the Intermediate Holding Company (IHC), comprising the Balance Sheet (BS) and Profit & Loss (P&L), including by business segment, and regulatory metrics such as capital and RWA, while maintaining UBS reporting standards and leveraging internal tools for content and consistency.
• Ensure all journal entries are accurately prepared and posted on time as part of the financial reporting process. Perform process controls review and assess exceptions in the preparation of the consolidated results to identify inaccuracies and instances where the relevant data is not appropriately applied in the preparation of consolidation entries.
• Support preparation of regulatory submissions, including Y-9C, Y-11, Y-9LP, CCAR and certain surveys, to the Federal Reserve or its agencies ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to supervisory requirements. Produce the annual financial disclosures for the IHC, including multiple financial statement notes and related schedules, ensuring compliance with IHC financials reporting requirements and internal disclosure controls.
• Drive process efficiency through automation and optimization of existing and new processes using the latest available tools. Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting process with various Product Controllers, Operations, Treasury, IT and Tax teams, while providing timely updates to senior stakeholders throughout the close.
• Can work hybrid (In-office/remote).

Education & Experience Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field of study plus 8 years of experience in the job offered or 8 years of experience as a Credit Research, Analyst, or a related occupation.

Position requires experience with the following:

• (1) Capital & RWA rules; (2) USGAAP financial reporting; (3) Regulatory reporting; (4) Alteryx; (5) Power BI; (6) VBA; (7) Python. CFA or FRM certification.
