Job summary

Boston College invites applications for an Associate Director in the Church in the 21st Century Center (C21). The role focuses on managing the C21 Resources magazine, collaborating with editors and the editorial board, and coordinating marketing with multiple university units.

Strong writing, editing, and design sensibilities are essential. Experience in staff leadership and digital communications is preferred, with involvement in cross-department programming and external engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with eight+ years in a related professional role
• Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills
• Experience in staff management and coordinating cross-unit initiatives
• Background in communications or theology preferred; familiarity with digital marketing and design

Responsibilities

• Serve as Associate Director and managing editor of the annual C21 Resources magazine
• Coordinate strategic marketing initiatives across University units and engage BC students, faculty, and external scholars
• Liaise with printer/publishing house for production of each issue and contribute creative programming
• Serve on the C21 Advisory Committee and collaborate across C21 and University Mission & Ministry
