Job summary

Cal Poly is seeking an Associate Director of Donor Stewardship to design and manage campus‑wide stewardship programs that recognize donor generosity and demonstrate impact. You will lead cross‑campus efforts to ensure integrated stewardship across departments and campaigns.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Donor Relations and focuses on building strategic donor experiences, managing staff, and advancing Cal Poly's fundraising initiatives through thoughtful stewardship.

Qualifications

• Creates and manages comprehensive stewardship programs and activities.
• Provides daily functional leadership and project management for stewardship initiatives.
• Recruits, hires and supervises area staff and student assistants; conducts performance evaluations.
• Supports fundraising campaigns by recognizing donor generosity and demonstrating impact.
• Coordinates stewardship activities across campus for integrated efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of campus-wide stewardship strategies.
• Oversee donor relations programs and engagement activities.
• Provide leadership in program execution and creative fulfillment of projects.
• Collaborate with university partners to align stewardship with fundraising goals.
