Job summary

California State University, Fresno seeks a Director of Philanthropic Relations and Stewardship to lead campus-wide partner engagement and stewardship programs. Reporting to AVP Advancement Operations, the Director builds strong relationships with philanthropic partners and alumni, guiding recognition, impact reporting, and event planning with a focus on donor-centric strategies.

The role requires collaborative leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent written and oral communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year regionally accredited institution.
• Minimum four years of leadership experience in philanthropic partner relations or related fields.
• Ability to work with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven track record in events, recognition strategies and donor communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate campus-wide philanthropic partner relations and stewardship programs.
• Develop stewardship communications, impact reports and recognition strategies for major gifts.
• Plan and execute events with a focus on donor engagement and accountability.
