Job summary

Merck in the United States (Pennsylvania - North Wales) seeks an Associate Director, Digital Transformation to build the digital foundation for AI-enabled procurement. You will connect processes, data, and systems to drive automation, analytics, and scalable AI across Global Sourcing & Procurement.

You will lead hands-on solution development, partner with business users, and push end-to-end delivery from strategy to implementation, focusing on measurable business value and improved user

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field; advanced degree a plus.
• 6+ years in digital transformation, technology, analytics, process improvement, product management, consulting, or related disciplines.
• Experience across enterprise platforms, data ecosystems, analytics solutions, and business processes to deliver end-to-end outcomes.
• Hands-on with SAP, ERP platforms, SQL, Databricks, Power Platform, Celonis, analytics solutions, or comparable technologies.
• Demonstrated experience building, implementing, or scaling digital solutions that improve performance, UX, efficiency, or data quality.

Responsibilities

• Map the end-to-end ecosystem of processes, systems, data, analytics, and UX across Global Supplier Management & Procurement.
• Take an end-to-end view of cross-functional workflows to optimize user experience globally.
• Orchestrate alignment between business priorities, digital initiatives, reporting, applications, and our Databricks data foundation.
• Drive metrics, accountability, and performance across business, operations, and tech stakeholders.
• Turn ideas into prototypes, analytics, automation, and scalable solutions using SQL, Databricks, Power Platform, Celonis, SAP, and AI-enabled tech.
