Job summary

Constructive Dialogue Institute (CDI) is seeking an Associate Director or Director of Development to run our fundraising operations. You’ll report to our Co‑Founder and Executive Director and manage grant writing, reporting, and development systems to support CDI’s mission.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in development or fundraising, exceptional writing and communication skills, and a proven ability to build streamlined processes in smaller or growing organizations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in development or fundraising, including experience writing successful grants in the six‑and‑seven‑figure range.
• Strong writing and communications skills with the ability to translate complex work into clear narratives.
• Experience building systems and processes that keep fundraising work running smoothly, especially in smaller or growing organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and submission of compelling grant proposals, reports, and donor materials.
• Translate CDI’s work and impact into clear narratives that resonate with funders.
• Collaborate with Finance, Marketing & Communications, and programs to gather content for proposals and reports.
• Maintain a high bar for grant materials and streamline processes behind them.
• Manage the grants calendar and deadlines for funders.
