MSD in the United States (North Wales, PA) is seeking an Associate Director, Governance Risk and Compliance for Data, Data Products and Digital Solutions. You will lead governance, privacy, and responsible AI practices across the data lifecycle and ensure compliance with enterprise standards and regulations.

You will collaborate with business, privacy, legal, and IT teams to embed controls, develop policies, and train stakeholders while promoting transparency, accountability, and risk-aware

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6+ years in data governance, compliance, privacy, risk management, AI governance, or related roles.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with data governance, data products, digital solutions, and Agentic AI-enabled programs.
• Ability to develop policies, SOPs, and governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance and compliance practices for data, data products, and digital solutions across the lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain policies, standards, guidance, and controls for ethical and compliant use of data and AI-enabled solutions.
• Partner with business, privacy, legal, and compliance stakeholders to embed governance in delivery processes.
• Support responsible AI practices with transparency, documentation, and oversight of AI use cases.
• Assess risks, track remediation, and drive continuous improvement of controls.
• Provide guidance and enablement to teams to promote governance awareness.
• Support data quality, stewardship, metadata, and documentation practices to improve trust.
• Contribute to governance reporting, audit readiness, and enterprise risk management.
