Job summary

MSD is seeking an Associate Director for the Digital Insights team to design and maintain data foundations powering data-driven modeling of sterile drug product development. You will curate experimental and process data from SPD teams into machine learning, statistical, and hybrid workflows.

The role requires hands-on experience in sterile drug product development with a transition to data engineering or data science, and strong collaboration with SPD scientists and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Ph.D./MS/BS with industrial/pharmaceutical experience
• Experience in data engineering or data science in pharma
• Strong programming and data modeling skills

Responsibilities

• Build partnerships with SPD scientists and engineers to capture data requirements for modeling.
• Design robust data pipelines ingesting SPD and analytical data.
• Translate data requirements into analysis-ready datasets for modeling workflows.
• Define data standards and ontologies for SPD data.
