Job summary

HKA is seeking an Associate Director to lead construction advisory engagements, focusing on audits, governance, and program management. You will manage client relationships, mentor staff, and contribute to growth across healthcare, higher education, and infrastructure sectors.

The role offers direct client contact, workshops, and data-driven improvements to project outcomes. You will work with Owners, developers, and public clients to enhance controls, optimize PMIS, and advance the CAS practice

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in construction consulting, audits, capital program management, PMO, or related advisory services.
• Experience leading workstreams or engagements.
• Strong understanding of contracts, cost management, governance, risk, and controls.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of construction advisory engagements across industries.
• Serve as the primary client contact for assigned engagements.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, assessments, and presentations.
• Develop practical recommendations to improve project performance, governance, and controls.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and deliverable quality.
• Lead multiple concurrent engagements with exceptional client service.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team culture.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and training activities.
