Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics, located in Cambridge, MA, seeks a senior leader to drive computational sciences across biologics programs in the pre-clinical stage. Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a relevant field with 8–12+ years combined experience.
• Advanced degree preferred in computational biology/chemistry, bioengineering, biophysics, ML, or related field.
• Experience leading teams and influencing project decisions through rigorous analysis and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead a computational sciences portfolio team across multiple biologics programs in the pre-clinical pipeline.
• Apply bioinformatics, ML, and AI-enabled design to improve antibody selection, design, optimization, characterization, and experimental decision-making.
• Determine when computational predictions are actionable vs qualified vs requiring additional experimental evidence.
• Partner with project teams to translate scientific questions into computational strategies and decision-ready recommendations.
• Communicate hypotheses, methods, results, visualizations, and recommendations in governance-ready formats.
• Coach, mentor, and develop computational scientists; foster rigor, urgency, accountability, collaboration, and impact.
