Job summary

Prattwhitney in Aurora, CO, is seeking an Associate Director – Chief Engineer for the HBMAS Sustainment and Development Program to lead architecture, cloud strategy, and modernization efforts on a large software‑intensive DoD system.

The role requires 12+ years (or 10 with an advanced STEM degree), DoD‑level security clearance, and strong leadership across agile software, systems engineering, cyber engineering, and DevSecOps disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience or 10 years with an advanced degree in a related STEM field.
  • Expertise in software‑intensive systems, cloud architectures, secure data workflows, cyber engineering, and DevSecOps.
  • Experience with classified operational systems and the DoD 8570 IAT‑II certification (Security+ or higher).
  • Active, transferable TS/SCI clearance required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Preferred: Experience with AF DCGS or ISR mission systems, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, or rapid capability fielding.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to align technical execution with evolving customer needs.

Location: Aurora, CO, United States

Salary Range: $157,200 – $298,800 (USD)

Key Responsibilities
