Job summary

Job Summary

The Associate Director, Campus Operations and Planning, underdirection, oversees business operations for assigned departments,offices, divisions, or agencies, which include hiring employees,negotiating contracts, addressing budget matters, understandinggeneral business operations, and guiding work teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversees the establishment of goals and objectives. Plans,implements, coordinate, monitors, and evaluate policies andprocedures.
  • Oversees the preparation of management and productivity reportsand studies. Coordinates and evaluates business functions.
  • Maintain financial and budget records. Monitors budgetexpenditures.
  • Oversees and approves schedules, priorities, and standards forachieving goals. Assist in development and implementation of goalsfor assigned departments.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership and operational oversight for Housing andResidence Life, Food Services, Campus Store, Print Services, andother assigned auxiliary operations. Establishes operationalpriorities, monitors service performance, and ensures high-quality,customer-focused services that support the University's mission andenhance the campus experience.
  • Coordinates operational planning, activities, includingauxiliary operations, departmental relocations, occupancy planning,event support, and operational impacts associated with constructionand renovation projects. Supports the University's space managementinitiatives by implementing and coordinating with campusstakeholders.
  • Monitors operational performance, develops service metrics,evaluates customer satisfaction, and implements continuousimprovement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency,service quality, fiscal stewardship, and the overall campusexperience.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and professional development forassigned managers, supervisors, and staff. Supports the workforceplanning, employee engagement, succession planning, and performancemanagement while promoting accountability, teamwork, andexceptional customer service.
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of all CampusOperations and Planning functions and collaborates closely with theDirector to ensure integrated leadership across auxiliaryenterprises and facilities operations, including facilitiesmanagement, utilities, grounds and landscaping, custodial services,space management, and other operational units. Provides leadershipcontinuity and cross-functional operational support.
  • Supports compliance with applicable federal, state, TexasA&M University System, and University requirements. Coordinatesoperational preparedness for emergencies, major campus events,business continuity, safety initiatives, and operational riskmanagement activities.
  • Represents Campus Operations and Planning on Universitycommittees and workgroups, collaborates with campus departments,students, vendors, and external partners, and supports strategicinitiatives that advance departmental and institutionalobjectives.

Salary
