Penn State University is seeking an Assistant Director of Alumni Relations for the College of Health and Human Development. The role focuses on enhancing alumni engagement, expanding event participation, and creating meaningful networking opportunities for alumni and students.

The successful candidate will manage alumni records, recruit volunteers for boards and committees, and collaborate with campus partners to advance the college’s mission through strategic engagement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
  • Required Certifications: None

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on alumni engagement strategies, including events, communications, and outreach initiatives to foster a sense of community
  • Organize and coordinate alumni events, including reunions and networking sessions
  • Create and manage content for newsletters, social media, and other communication platforms
  • Assist in identification, solicitation, and cultivation of students, alumni, volunteers, prospects, and donors
  • Recruit alumni for participation in programs, alumni boards, and alumni committees
  • Maintain and update alumni records in the database for outreach and engagement
  • Participate in long-range planning for new initiatives and programs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align alumni relations with organizational goals
  • Collect and analyze feedback from alumni to assess engagement strategies
  • Facilitate mentorship and networking opportunities between alumni and students/graduates
  • Provide leadership to volunteers, boards, committees, and staff to develop strategies and programs
  • May plan and coordinate nomination/selection for alumni awards
  • Articulate Penn State’s needs and values through communications
