Job summary

Gilead Sciences, Inc. is seeking an AI & MLOps Lead for Kite IT Sales & Digital to drive transformation of AI/ML across the Commercial line. The role is based in Raleigh, NC and focuses on designing, developing, and deploying production-grade analytics on AWS and Databricks.

You will collaborate with data scientists and business teams to build scalable pipelines, ensure governance, and deliver agentic AI capabilities that surface actionable insights for patient care and commercial efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and Ten Years’ Experience or Master’s Degree and Eight Years’ Experience or PhD and Two Years’ Experience.
• 3–6+ years in MLOps, Data Engineering, or ML platform roles, with deploying ML solutions at scale.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with TypeScript/JavaScript or systems language; experience with CI/CD and code quality.
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, Airflow, and MLflow for production ML pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain model life cycle pipelines from experimentation to production.
• Design robust data workflows and feature management to support analytics initiatives.
• Ensure reliability, monitoring, and governance of ML systems and data quality.
• Collaborate to decompose complex business workflows into agent-executable workstreams.
• Create prompts, architectures, memories, and patterns for agent-driven analytics.
• Build agentic AI systems to surface insights and drive recommended actions.
• Oversee security, governance, and compliance for datasets, models, and agents.
• Coordinate releases, documentation, and runbooks with cross-functional teams.
