Job summary

Moderna is seeking an Associate Director to lead the design and implementation of enterprise cybersecurity across non-human identity and credential management, including agentic AI identities. You will grow and direct a team of senior security engineers and partner with Security, IT, and Engineering to deliver architecture decisions and robust controls.

You will define reference architectures, drive vendor evaluations, and oversee credential lifecycle, secrets management, and endpoint execution

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security engineering or related domains with principal‑level leadership.
• Experience driving complex initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Hands‑on with credential security controls, secrets management, and lifecycle governance.
• Deep knowledge of OS endpoint security across Windows and macOS.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for NHI and credential security.
• Lead and develop a team of senior security engineers and oversee contractors.
• Evaluate, select, and deploy platforms for secrets management and identity governance.
• Design credential lifecycles for non‑human identities across services and CI/CD.
• Build the AI security control plane with policy guardrails and telemetry.
• Partner with AI platform owners to make secure credential use default in workflows.
• Lead endpoint execution control and configuration hardening with measurable outcomes.
• Develop detection and reporting for credential misuse and bypasses.
• Author standards, architectures, and technical documentation; mentor others.
