Associate Director, AI Foundations Engineering is seeking a role with a leading Pharmaceuticals & Biotech company. The position will drive the architecture and engineering delivery of a foundational AI platform enabling scalable, secure, and high-impact solutions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related technical field
• 5+ years in technology leadership, architecture, or software engineering with proven success in AI solutions
• Experience translating concepts into functional prototypes while managing technical feasibility and ambiguity
• Strong technical expertise in modern application development and cloud platforms, with a focus on AI technologies
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and align technical work with business goals
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, particularly in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and engineering delivery of the AI platform
• Transform existing products and workflows into scalable AI-enabled capabilities
• Oversee end-to-end AI operations including development and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and platform standards
• Establish best practices for performance, security, and governance of AI systems
• Guide optimization of AI models and related platform components
• Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams, fostering innovation and excellence
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies through AI services and automation
