Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, IN, seeks an Associate Director of eDiscovery to lead strategic and technical efforts across the EDRM lifecycle. You will translate legal holds, collection, and production obligations into defensible, auditable workflows while shaping automation choices across Lilly's distributed systems.

You will manage legal hold platforms, vendor relationships, data preservation, data collection, processing, review, and platform hosting.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in eDiscovery operations or legal technology.
Hands-on experience managing eDiscovery tools and platforms across the EDRM lifecycle.
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Lilly will not sponsor work authorization or visas for this role.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the strategic roadmap for Lilly's eDiscovery program and design technical specs and SOPs.
Manage Lilly’s legal hold platform and vendor relationships, balancing daily support with tech enhancements.
Partner with business areas to preserve data per legal hold requirements across enterprise systems and data lakes.
Define, automate, and manage data collection from diverse systems with proper metadata and chain-of-custody.
Oversee eDiscovery data processing, review, and vendor relationships for quality and cost.
Evaluate and partner with vendors to implement AI and ML solutions within defensible processes.
Advise on complex eDiscovery scenarios, sequencing tasks to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
Collaborate with outside counsel, Legal, Privacy, Records Management, IT, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and stakeholders.
Mentor teammates and build cross-functional technical expertise across EDRM stages.
