Job summary

AbbVie seeks an Associate Director to lead the Cybersecurity Posture, Hygiene and AI program across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will manage a multidisciplinary team, define strategy, governance, and metrics, and drive secure-by-default configurations and AI safety controls.

You will partner with infrastructure, identity, network, and AI engineering teams to strengthen baseline controls, monitor posture trends, and deliver measurable risk reductions while enabling safe adoption of AI

Qualifications

9+ years of experience in cybersecurity leadership.
Experience managing security posture and hygiene strategies.
Experience implementing an AI security program across an enterprise.
Strong knowledge of OS, networking, systems administration, and security tech.
Understanding of risk management and securing AI-enabled environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

Build and lead a security posture and hygiene program with strategy, roadmap, and governance.
Develop and manage a multidisciplinary team for assessments, remediation, and development.
Leverage AI to accelerate continuous control monitoring and response.
Integrate telemetry from AI-enabled tools to detect misuse and drift.
Identify and translate misuse patterns into proactive enhancements.
Align controls to CIS Top 18 and adapt guidance for AbbVie environments.
Partner with infrastructure, cloud, identity, network, and AI teams to embed secure defaults.
