Job summary

Lilly is constructing a cutting-edge manufacturing site for advanced therapies in Lebanon, Indiana. The Associate Director – Process Engineering will supervise engineers and technicians, ensuring qualified, compliant equipment and control systems for manufacturing.

The role also oversees capital projects from concept to close-out, typically ranging up to $5,000,000, and collaborates with LP2 engineering teams to meet compliance objectives.

Qualifications

• Bs in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical engineering manufacturing-related experience, preferably biosynthetic drug substance and/or sterile drug product operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop engineering staff, including process, automation, and plant engineers, through performance reviews, staffing, and succession planning.
• Oversee delivery of capital projects from concept through close-out in a compliant manner, coordinating engineering work across process, automation, plant, and project engineering.
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring the team operates in a state of compliance, tracking key performance indicators, and removing barriers to team performance.
• Set and reinforce standards for engineering rigor and application of First Principles in coordination with Global Engineering and other LP2 engineering areas.
• Serve as an active member of site leadership, partnering with strategic planning on long-term site master plan strategy and recapitalization efforts.
