Job summary

Kinsale Insurance is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the Infrastructure Operations team in Richmond, VA. You will treat the internal platform as a product and build golden paths that enable engineers to ship software securely and efficiently.

You'll grow through guidance from senior engineers while owning platform capabilities end to end. You'll work closely with app dev, security, data, and QA teams to understand needs and drive platform engineering practices, mentoring others and documenting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or demonstrable equivalent experience in a technical field.
• Proficiency with YAML and Git version control.
• Experience with AI tools and AI solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on work with Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, and AWS.
• Create and maintain CI/CD templates and reusable modules for secure starting points.
• Automate infrastructure tasks using Terraform, Helm, Python, and Bash.
• Operate and maintain the cloud-native AWS environment.
• Collaborate with dev, security, data, and QA teams to improve developer experience.
