Job summary

Veeva Systems is hiring an Associate DevOps Engineer to support our AWS and Kubernetes analytics infrastructure within the NitroAI team. You’ll work closely with internal engineers, ensuring reliability, security, and smooth CI/CD operations for a 50-person global consulting group.

The role emphasizes strong communication, customer-service mindset, and accountability, with the chance to contribute to the AI-native NitroAI project and the broader Veeva methodology.

Qualifications

• 1+ years hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of GitLab CI/CD, including runner management and Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices (ArgoCD or similar).
• Exposure to Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code tool.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
• Comfortable being accountable to other engineers who are blocked and waiting on you.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of the AWS and Kubernetes platform.
• Build & Maintain GitOps deployments: sync policies, deployment ordering, configuration management.
• Support CI/CD pipelines: maintain GitLab pipelines and runners, help engineering teams troubleshoot failed builds and deployments.
• Act as first responder on platform incidents: triage, elevate, and help document post-mortems.
• Maintain platform observability: monitoring, alerting, and log visibility.
• Migrate 50 person business consulting team onto a new AI native stack.
• Support the building of our new AI native application NitroAI to learn Veeva methodology.
