G-III Apparel Group in New York City is seeking an Associate Designer for the Marc by Marc Jacobs Sportswear team. You will support design and development of seasonal women's sportswear from concept through production, including trend research, sketching, tech packs, and fabric sourcing.

The ideal candidate has strong design and technical skills, understands construction and fit, and collaborates across Design, Product Development, Merchandising, Technical Design, and overseas partner teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in fashion design or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional apparel design experience.
• Experience in women's sportswear construction, fit, and product development.
• Proficiency in hand sketching, CAD, and technical package development.
• Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the design and development of seasonal women's sportswear from concept through final prototypes.
• Research seasonal fashion trends, silhouettes, fabrics, trims, colors, and prints to support collection development.
• Design and develop coordinated sportswear assortments including woven and knit tops, jackets, skirts, pants, and more.
• Create hand sketches, CADs, and tech packs with detailed construction information.
• Prepare and maintain tech packs from development to production; coordinate with factories and vendors.
