Job summary

BCI Brands in New York seeks a skilled sweater designer to create design tech packs and lead CAD/Illustration work for our multi-brand platform. You will collaborate with overseas factories to develop samples, manage color and prints, and ensure timely, market-ready concepts.

The role requires 3+ years in sweater design, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Illustrator/Photoshop, with the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sweater experience required.

• Experience with prints and patterns in Adobe Photoshop.
• Ability to sketch and CAD in Illustrator quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure samples are on schedule in accordance with the calendar; coordinate communications.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Create all aspects of design tech packs.
• Strong ability to Sketch and CAD on Illustrator.
• Daily correspondence with overseas factories, making sure sample details are clear.
• Strong computer skills, knowledge of the PLM Centric is ideal but not required.
• Communicate daily with our overseas factories to ensure all samples are on schedule in accordance to the calendar.
• Strong eye for color, ability to comment on sweater lab dips.

• Color experiencepreferred
• Associate degree in Fashion Design required
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Excellent time management, organization skills and work ethic
• Experienced working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and sketching. Must be able to jump into sketching and CAD’ing efficiently in Illustrator
• Knowledge of working with prints + patterns in Adobe Photoshop and working between Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience working on sweater construction, GG, and yarn
• Understanding and experience creating tech packs and spec’ing new designs and protos
• Excellent eye for detail and proportions
• Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop / Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Office

The annual salary range for this full-time position depends on experience between $80,000-$100,000.
