Sweet Apparel Inc. is a fast-paced apparel manufacturer focused on quick turn production for juniors, women’s, men’s, and kids’ clothing.

The role is on-site in Midtown Manhattan, five days a week, partnering with design, production, and operations to bring fashion-forward products to market efficiently. You will sketch design flats in Illustrator, develop new ideas, create tech packs, and manage the sample lifecycle from lab dips to TOP samples.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fashion Design
• 1+ years experience in Sock / Hosiery Design
• Knowledge of sock/hosiery design and construction
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Excel
• Attention to detail, sense of urgency, willingness to learn, team-player
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred Experience working with Off-Price customers.

Responsibilities

• Work with Design Director on all facets of the product design cycle for Socks
• Sketch accurate design flats in Adobe Illustrator
• Develop and design new ideas and create CADS
• Create accurate and detailed tech packs
• Review and follow up with factories on garment life cycle from lab dips to TOP samples
• Conduct market and trend research to stay current with trends
• Adhere to calendars to meet deadlines
• Track and manage sample status
• Organize records and samples
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production and sales

Please note: this is an on-site position in Midtown Manhattan where we work in office 5 days/week!

Responsibilities

• Work with Design Director on all facets of the product design cycle for Socks
• Ability to sketch accurate design flats on Adobe Illustrator
• Develop and design new ideas and create visually pleasing design CADS
• Create accurate and detailed tech packs.
• Daily review and follow up with factories on garment life cycle, from lab dips & strike offs to Pre-Production and TOP samples.
• Proactive market and trend research to always be on top of market trends.
• Ability to adhere to calendar to ensure deadlines are met
• Track and manage sample status
• Assist with records and samples organized
• Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams including production, and sales.

Target compensation for this role starts at $60k/yr dependent on experience
