Job summary

Sweet Apparel Inc. is seeking an Associate Designer with athleisure experience to join our fast-paced apparel team.

You will support the Head Designer in seasonal development and deliver sketches, technical flats, color-ups, and presentation materials. Responsibilities include trend research, maintaining organized design files and line sheets, and collaborating with Product Development and Merchandising through the design-to-production process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• 2–5 years of apparel design experience, preferably wholesale with athleisure focus.
• Strong knowledge of fast fashion trends and market landscape.
• Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS Office.
• Excellent sketching, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with ability to execute design direction.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Designer in design and development of seasonal collections.
• Research trends, colors, fabrics, silhouettes for contemporary market.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head Designer in the design and development of seasonal collections for the brand
• Research and identify emerging fashion trends, colors, fabrics, silhouettes, and market opportunities relevant to the contemporary market
• Create sketches, technical flats, color-ups, and presentation materials
• Assist in developing seasonal concepts and ensuring design consistency across categories
• Partner with Product Development and Merchandising teams throughout the design and production process
• Review samples and prototypes, providing comments to ensure design intent and quality standards are met
• Maintain organized design files, line sheets, and seasonal development materials
• Participate in fittings and support design revisions as needed
• Monitor competitive brands and market trends within the athleisure space

Qualifications

• 2 - 5 years of apparel design experience, preferably within wholesale with an emphasis on athleisure
