Job summary

AMG Companies is seeking an Associate Designer to contribute to seasonal lines and chase programs for men’s and children’s underwear and loungewear. You will create artwork for all over patterns, trims, and place graphics, review PP/TOP submits, and liaise with vendors on development.

The role involves preparing CADs for internal and retailer presentations, maintaining color cards, and creating tech-pack illustrations. Candidates should have 2+ years design experience and strong color skills.

Qualifications

  • Education in Fashion Design.
  • 2+ years of design experience in apparel.
  • Experience in men’s and/or children’s apparel.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with knits; underwear design is a plus.
  • Strong color sense and color assorting.
  • PLM experience is a plus.
  • Experience with prints preferred.
  • Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume atmosphere.
  • Airtable experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create technical garment sketches for tech packs.
  • Communicate with suppliers on development issues including submits, comments and approvals.
  • Participate in fittings with Technical Design team.
  • Collaborate with Production, Sourcing, Technical Design and Sales.
  • Attend trend seminars and fabric shows.
  • Shop and research the market quarterly.
  • Organize, tag, and prep samples for line review and mail-out to retailers.
  • Create physical color cards for presentations.

The role involves creating artwork for all over patterns, trims, and place graphics, reviewing PP/TOP submits, and communicating with vendors on development of programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare CADs for internal and retailer presentations, as well as for licensor approval.

Annual salary range is starting at $60,000+
