Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Our client, a growing wholesale apparel company is seeking an ambitious and creative Associate or Assistant Designer for their Girls (2T-16) Division.

Responsibilities

• Contribute research on industry trend, color forecasting and fabric innovations in tandem with supporting senior designers
• Present design proposal through sketching, presentation boards and design development
• Work on flats, and technical sketches
• Prepare tech packs and BOMs
• Review and comment on lab dips, and strike-offs
• Closely collaborate with buyers, and overseas vendors
• Tag, document, photograph, and organize sample line pictures
• Attend fit session

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design OR Equivalent Experience
• 3-5 years of design experience (Girls childrenswear, a must)
• Highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite
• Background in PLM systems (Preferred)
• Possess keen sense of color/print with the ability to interpret color palettes/prints and patterns
• Able to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Able to travel as necessary
