Job Summary:

The Associate Design Engineer designs, develops, builds, and implements new components, circuits, products, or technologies using AutoCAD Electrical/Eplan software. The role involves project-based workflow, schematic design for electrical, communication, switchgear, control panels, and automation. Budget and project timelines are key milestones for success.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, modify, and implement CAD templates for schematic development.
  • Research new components and products, and coordinate prototype building, testing, and analysis.
  • Develop and document functional requirements and translate them into detailed design documents. Participate in buy-build analysis for product components.

Degree Requirement:

  • Associate's degree in engineering or computer science.

What You Will Have:

  • Basic knowledge of data gathering, analysis tools, techniques, and processes. Ability to synthesize data objectively.
  • Understanding of analytical thinking tools and techniques to identify root causes and create solutions.
  • Knowledge of decision-making processes and effective communication skills.
  • Basic technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on technical excellence and CAD software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Autodesk Vault, and EPLAN.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree in accredited engineering (preferably electrical) or computer science.
  • Switchgear control experience.
  • Utilities experience.

Additional Information:

  • This role is based in Alpharetta, GA, with no relocation assistance.
  • Expected travel is 10% or less.

Summary Pay Range:

$79,800.00 - $119,760.00

Compensation varies based on factors like experience, skills, and location. Salary is one component of total compensation.
