You will lead capabilities development, hiring strategies, staff development, and long-term R&D investments to ensure successful delivery of SD programs and projects.

Qualifications

• DOE security clearance (Q-level or Top Secret) at hire.
• Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Extensive leadership and personnel management experience.
• Experience developing/managing LDRD, R&D portfolios, strategies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SD workforce hiring, training, development, retention, succession planning, and culture.
• Oversee operation of Design Physics Division, Facilities & Operations, and OCTC.
• Provide budgeting and staffing oversight to achieve major programs/functions.
• Lead Strategic Deterrence LDRD portfolio and influence LLNL LDRD investments.
• Shape Institutional Scientific Capability Portfolio and advise senior leadership on investments.
• Represent SD and LLNL to senior Lab management, DOE/NNSA, and other agencies.
• Lead employee engagement initiatives and growth opportunities within SD.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
