Job summary

42 North Dental in Newport, Rhode Island, is seeking a Dentist to lead the patient experience from exam to care delivery. In-office specialties include periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics, with a strong patient flow each month.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues.
• Maintain high quality standard of care and ethics.
• Keep abreast of new developments and continuing education.
