Job summary

42North Dental in Portland, ME, is seeking a licensed dentist to lead comprehensive patient care in a restorative and aesthetic practice. The role involves exams, treatment planning, and delivering a full range of dental procedures in a modern, patient-centered environment.

The position offers flexible scheduling (full-time or part-time) with strong production-based compensation and avenues for mentorship within an extensive Doctor network.

Qualifications

• Must have DMD or DDS degree from ADA CODA-accredited program.
• Current state dental license to practice.
• Vaccination against Hepatitis B.
• Proof of malpractice insurance and BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases and plan treatment.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret X-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on the teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity.

Education

DMD or DDS degree (ADA CODA accredited)

Current state license to practice dentistry

Hepatitis B vaccination
