Job summary

42 North Dental is seeking a Dentist to deliver full-scope restorative and aesthetic dentistry in a modern, patient-centered Portland, ME practice. You will oversee the patient experience from exam to treatment, with in-office periods for periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics as needed.

The role emphasizes prevention, case planning, and a wide range of procedures in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from an ADA CODA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create and review treatment plans with patients.
• Maintain and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity.
• Maintain high standards of ethics and professionalism.

Education

DMD or DDS degree (ADA CODA-accredited)

Current state license to practice dentistry
