Job summary

42 North Dental in Portland, ME seeks a DDS/DMD licensed dentist to join our restorative and aesthetic practice. The role offers flexible scheduling (full-time or part-time) with no nights or weekends and a strong production-based compensation plan.

You will lead the complete patient experience from exam and treatment planning to delivery of care, oversee in-office specialty services, maintain records, and stay current with evolving techniques within a collaborative, mentorship-rich network.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from a university-based dental education program accredited by the ADA CODA
• Current state license to practice dentistry
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination
• Proof of malpractice insurance
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention
• Diagnose oral diseases
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patient’s oral health
• Review treatment plan options with patients
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity
• Maintain the highest quality standard of care and ethics
• Keep abreast of new developments, technologies and best practices in dentistry
