Job summary

42North Dental in Portland, ME seeks a licensed dentist (DMD or DDS) to join our restorative and aesthetic practice. You will manage the full patient experience from exam to treatment, with in-office periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from an ADA CODA accredited program.
• Current license to practice dentistry in the state.
• Proof of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues.
• Maintain high quality standards of care and ethics.
• Keep up with new developments and continuing education.
