Job summary

California State University, Chico invites applications for the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education, an Administrator III position in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP). The appointee will provide academic, administrative, and organizational leadership for Undergraduate Education programs.

Reporting to the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Academic Success, the Associate Dean will advance equitable student success, supervise nine faculty leaders and professional staff, and

Qualifications

• Doctorate or terminal degree in Undergraduate Education or related field.
• 5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education administration.
• Direct experience in managing a unit.
• Experience supervising professional staff, faculty, or managers.
• Teaching, scholarly activity and service in student success, retention, and equity.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, administrative, and organizational leadership for Undergraduate Education programs.
• Lead day-to-day operations and integration of the portfolio of programs.
• Partner with the Vice Provost to align priorities with Academic Affairs and University priorities.
• Supervise nine faculty leaders, managers, and staff.
