Job summary

Brown University seeks an Associate Dean and Associate Director of Student Conduct & Community Standards to guide investigations, case administration, and restorative justice initiatives. You will support senior leadership and drive key priorities within the Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards.

The role requires a Master’s degree and 7+ years of leadership in higher education, with strong collaborative and crisis-management capabilities.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Student Affairs, Education, Social Work, or related higher education discipline.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership at an educational institution; residential college or university preferred.
At least 4 years of experience in Student Conduct, with experience in alternative resolution processes preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, and families through student conduct procedures.
Experience in managing crises effectively and collaboratively.
Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee assignment, management, supervision, and approval of investigations and case administration.
Manage supervision of alternative resolution processes, including Restorative Justice initiatives.
Support the Director and Senior Associate Dean in setting office priorities.
Collaborate with students, families, and colleagues to provide guidance throughout conduct procedures.
Lead crisis management and ensure timely, principled decision-making.
