Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking an Associate Dean, Strategic Initiatives and Business Partnerships to lead high-impact strategic initiatives across the Katie Marmion School of Public Health and the Center for Rural Health in South Texas.

The Associate Dean partners with School leadership, faculty, institutional leaders, UT System partners, regional stakeholders, and external affiliates to develop new centers, strengthen strategic partnerships, support CRHeST growth, and advance regional public

Qualifications

• Ten years of progressively responsible experience in strategic initiatives, public health administration, healthcare administration, higher education administration, academic program development, partnership development, community health, rural health, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Leads School-wide strategic initiatives that support advancement and regional presence.
• Partners with the Dean and stakeholders to translate priorities into structured work plans with measurable outcomes.
• Identifies opportunities to strengthen partnerships, expand regional engagement, and improve operational readiness.
• Supports development and implementation of strategic plans for CRHeST and regional public health initiatives.
• Develops and coordinates strategic partnerships with UT System, UT San Antonio, and external affiliates.
• Advances regional public health initiatives across South Texas including priority regions.
• Prepares reports and updates for School leadership and external partners.
• Leads cross-functional project teams and planning efforts for new initiatives and partnerships.
• Travel through South Texas is expected.
