Job summary

Excelon Associates in Tampa, FL is seeking an Associate Dean of Academic Affairs to oversee programs supporting student recruitment, education, and retention across diploma and degree initiatives. The role collaborates with the Dean to plan, organize, direct, and supervise campus academic operations for online and on-ground modalities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of college-level teaching experience, preferably in a proprietary school setting.
• Ability to adapt to new and rapidly changing situations.
• Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and Saturdays, to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed retention, student satisfaction, and certification goals by structuring student services, advising, and communication with students.
• Coordinate and track student reentry and readmission processes to meet monthly goals.
• Ensure attendance goals for on-ground programs and engagement for online courses.
• Assist in development and maintenance of the student schedule under supervision.
• Coordinate timely academic advising for SAP compliance.
• Verify faculty coverage and that instructors sign contractual agreements through module end dates.
• Provide support in recruitment, interviews, hiring, and onboarding for all faculty.
• Conduct biweekly one-on-one meetings and quarterly classroom observations.
• Assist with scheduling annual faculty development, in-services, and accreditation-related activities.
• Assist with hiring and onboarding of instructors for the program.
• Ensure operations, personnel, facilities, and curriculum comply with accreditation and regulatory bodies.
• Conduct New Faculty Orientation and monthly instructor class assignments.
