Job summary

Sonoma State University in Sonoma is seeking an Interim Associate Dean for Academic Pathways and Partnerships. The role provides management and strategic direction for curriculum and program development within the Office of Academic Programs, reporting to AVP for Academic Affairs and Dean of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies.

The incumbent leads initiatives including external K-12 partnerships for dual enrollment and college readiness, supports career pathways, and collaborates with faculty,

Qualifications

• Earned doctoral or terminal degree in relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of higher education leadership experience.
• Proven record of teaching and supporting a diverse student population.
• Experience with curriculum development and approval, academic planning, scheduling, and assessment.
• Experience in shared governance and equity-focused, student-centered culture.
• Strong collaboration with faculty, staff, and external partners to advance curricular initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide management and guidance for curriculum and program development in the Office of Academic Programs.
• Lead dual enrollment and career pathways initiatives and community outreach.
• Promote High-Impact Practices and interdisciplinary learning.
• Coordinate curriculum development/change processes and dual enrollment planning.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Strategic Enrollment Management.
