Job summary

Home Depot is seeking an Associate Data Scientist to support the Pro Intelligence team in Atlanta. You will partner with Pro Ops and Pro sales to build enterprise dashboards and deliver data-driven insights, with growth into predictive modeling and deployment alongside senior data scientists.

The role focuses on analytics execution today with opportunities to expand into modeling and deployment work in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Analytics, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop algorithms and models to generate business insights from large datasets.
• Conduct analysis to support data science projects and address business needs.
• Complete assigned tasks with a strong focus on efficiency and quality.
• Consult with a Data Scientist or Senior Data Scientist to support selection, use, and interpretation of advanced analytical methodologies.
• Learn assigned business areas to improve solutions with business knowledge.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support preparation of reports, status updates, and presentations related to project progress or solution delivery.
• Highlight potential impacts of recommendations to ensure alignment and proper implementation.
• Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging methodologies.
• Continually build skills and deepen expertise in data analytics concepts and methodologies.
• Identify opportunities to apply learnings to new problems.
