Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking an Associate Data Scientist to support data science initiatives that drive profitability, efficiency and customer experience. You will work with Data Scientists to develop solutions using advanced analytics and algorithms, identifying trends and delivering actionable business insights.

You will build skills in specific data science areas and communicate results to stakeholders, with a focus on continuous learning and development at both technical and business levels.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years in business intelligence and analytics.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in a modern scripting language (Python).
• Experience running queries against data (BigQuery or SQL).
• Experience in predictive modeling, data mining and data analysis.
• Experience with data visualization software (Tableau).
• Knowledge of prescriptive modeling like optimization, computer vision, recommendation, search or NLP.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop algorithms and models on large datasets to create business insights.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and continually develop data analytics skills.
