Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Data Scientist in Oak Brook Terrace, IL to apply scientific methods to extract insights from time-series and structured/unstructured data. You will train state-of-the-art models and deploy them in production using MLOps practices.

You will collaborate with data engineers, project managers, and IT partners to turn data into analytics-driven products and inform decision making. Extended hours may be required during storms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Applied Math, CS, OR, Physics or Statistics.
• Intern experience in data science or research applying analytic techniques to large datasets.
• Strong knowledge in two or more areas: ML/AI/statistical modeling/data mining/visualization.
• Experience with analytics platforms and Python/SQL; big data tech like Spark, Dask.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models to improve customer experience, operational performance and safety.
• Analyze data with modern analytics frameworks (Python, R, Scala) and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop).
• Access and analyze data from various company systems; support strategic plans.
• Provide analytics support to multiple business units.
• Access and enrich data warehouses; build/maintain HPC systems.
