Job Summary

The Systems Analyst Assoc role collaborates with business partners and application development teams to deliver and maintain required technology solutions. They are responsible for updates to applications/technology platforms, responding to issues, troubleshooting, and general maintenance of the systems.

They act as a liaison for various IT (Information Technology) infrastructure, security, and development teams. They also address requests, inquiries, and escalations from customers, help desk, or business partners.

Job Description

Medline is seeking a junior data scientist (machine learning engineer) for its Data Science team, responsible for developing and deploying AI solutions within core business functions using cloud-native technologies. This role involves ensuring scalability, availability, and efficiency of AI deployments, and establishing best practices in AI operations. Candidates should have cloud-native experience with machine learning engineering and AI platforms in a large-scale environment. Experience operationalizing GenAI applications is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement end-to-end machine learning pipelines integrated within cloud-native architectures, ensuring scalability and robustness.
2. Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize machine learning models on cloud AI platforms, transitioning prototypes to production solutions.
3. Optimize data architectures to improve performance and scalability of ML systems on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
4. Lead integration of ML models into system architectures, focusing on compatibility and high performance, including designing robust APIs.
5. Monitor and enhance the performance and efficiency of ML systems deployed on cloud infrastructures.
6. Work with cloud architecture advisors to leverage advanced cloud and AI platform features.
7. Establish and promote best practices around AI Operations, including MLOps and LLMOps.

Qualifications:

1. At least 1 year of cloud-native experience in machine learning engineering supporting large infrastructure environments.
2. Experience operationalizing GenAI applications or assistants.
3. Experience with AI platforms on the cloud such as Azure Machine Learning, Google AI Platform, or AWS SageMaker.
4. Proficiency in using major cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP) for deploying ML models and managing data pipelines.
5. Proficient in Python, SQL, and cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
6. Experience using Linux OS.
7. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
8. Remote work is optional for top candidates.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronic engineering, data science, or a related field.

The anticipated salary range is $73,840.00 - $107,120.00 annually, with actual salary based on location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. The role is bonus/incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the minimum wage or salary threshold.
