Capgemini is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Data Engineer for a top 10 US Insurance Carrier.

Our Client is one of the United States’ largest insurers, providing a wide range of insurance and financial services products with gross written premiums well over US$25 billion (P&C). They serve more than 10 million U.S. households with over 19 million individual policies across all 50 states, through over 48,000 exclusive and independent agents, and nearly 18,500 employees. Our client is part of one of the largest Insurance Groups in the world.

Role Description:

The role has two main objectives: first, to define, understand, quantify, and explain the metrics being captured for the department. This involves working with Data Leadership and team leads to determine, define, and calculate key metrics. Second, to build and maintain dashboards and reports, primarily using PowerBI. The PowerBI Reporting Specialist will design, develop, and sustain business intelligence solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to meet their reporting needs and translate them into insights.

This position is primarily a Power BI Developer role, requiring data literacy and strong communication skills. The role supports internal stakeholders by enhancing reports that inform performance and drive improvements.

  1. Bachelor’s degree
  2. English proficiency
  3. Power BI expertise (4-6 years of experience)
  4. Hands-on experience creating, modifying, and maintaining reports and dashboards
  5. Ability to connect to various backend systems
  6. Experience with real-world Power BI reporting
  7. Understanding stakeholder needs and translating them into effective visuals
  8. Clear communication of data insights and influencing teams
  9. Problem-solving skills for normalizing inconsistent data from multiple sources
  10. Ability to handle ambiguity and shifting priorities
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Exposure to SQL Server, Snowflake, ETL concepts, or data quality dimensions
  • Familiarity with data environments
  • Team player with willingness to share knowledge and train others in Power BI
  • High emotional intelligence for working with diverse data teams
  • Self-starter capable of managing complex, changing information
  • Influencing skills to build relationships and elicit data from stakeholders
  • Ability to handle large volumes of information and reports
  • Experience normalizing inconsistent metrics across teams for unified reporting
